Do you enjoy organizing events?  Would you or your group like to hold a donation drive?  We have a list of items needed by various non-profit organizations in the Columbus area on our Donation Needs page.  Donation drives are a fun way to gain service hours.    OPPORTUNITY SPOTLIGHT

Cottonwood House

 Front Desk Greeter

Activities Helper

Do you enjoy working with the public and are good on the phone? Cottonwood House is looking for a volunteer to help a couple hours a day helping at the front desk.  Volunteers are also being sought to help with resident activities such as playing cards and helping with birthday parties.  Put a smile on a  residents face.  Call Judy Eckholdt at 562-9136

Downtown Business Association

Event Helpers

Volunteers are welcome to come downtown and help with this years Lawnchairs on the Square.  Helpers are needed for set up and to serve food at the event on July 24.  Contact the Volunteer Center if you would like to help at this fun event!

 

SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM  HELPERS NEEDED!

The Columbus Public Schools is hosting a Summer Lunch Program at the Middle School.  This is a community wide lunch program where any child, ages 1-18, can receive a nutritious lunch free of charge during the summer months beginning    June 2.  Helpers are needed to supervise the lunch room, "count" children who eat lunch, and clean up afterwards.  This would be approximately a 1-2 hour commitment.  The program will be Monday through Friday, volunteers can choose what days would work for them.  Teenagers are welcome to come and help out.   If you would like to help out with this community pilot program, call Cheryl Harpham at the Middle School at 563-7065 or email us volcntr@megavision.com.
